Nemesis CS2 Crowned CS2 EU Champions at EPIC.LAN 46!
Team Nemesis has claimed the championship at EPIC.LAN 46, capping off a thrilling weekend of high-level CS2 competition. British IGL Thomas “Thomas” Utting added a fourth EPIC.LAN title to his résumé, while Dutch AWPer Joey “CRUC1AL” Steusel now boasts four titles of his own.
Nemesis had a dramatic run to the grand finals. After an initial loss to MINLATE in the upper bracket semi-finals, they stormed through the lower bracket, overcoming a series of intense matches, including a comeback from 3-10 down against Prestige in double overtime.
In the grand finals, Nemesis defeated MINLATE in a two-map thriller:
Map 1 (Overpass): Dominant 13-5 victory.
Map 2 (Nuke): A hard-fought 16-14 win in overtime, highlighted by Thomas’ spectacular 1v4 clutch.
The victory not only earned Nemesis the title and prize money but also strengthened their VRS world ranking, moving them to 103rd globally. Roman “n0te” Hamze was named MVP of the event, delivering a remarkable 1.33 rating in the finals.
This marks the first LAN title for Nemesis’ current roster, including the debut of Belgian duo n0te and Bram “Nexius” Campana. With this momentum, the team looks unstoppable in upcoming EU tournaments.
